"Saraburi Slow Trip"

Start your journey by train to Kaeng Khoi Junction Station.

Begin with a visit to Wat Kaeng Khoi, a historic temple located by the Pa Sak River. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and admire the unique blend of Thai and Western architecture. A stroll along the riverbank and a photo stop at the nearby railway bridge are highly recommended.

After a relaxing lunch, continue to Manasikarn Hall, an art and architecture space founded by renowned artist Thawan Duchanee. The serene garden, art exhibitions, and striking buildings make it a great spot for photography and creative inspiration.

On the second day, head up to Phra Phutthabat Khao Noi, a small hilltop temple with panoramic views of Saraburi. Pay respects to the Buddha’s footprint and take in the natural surroundings.

Before heading back, stop by a local shop for souvenirs or enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant. Return home by train, feeling refreshed and inspired.

Khao Phra Phutthabat Noi Cliffs The steep cliffs at Wat Khao Phra Phutthabat Noi provide an exciting opportunity for rock climbing enthusiasts, especially beginners. For those who prefer a less challenging activity, rappelling down the cliffs offers a chance to enjoy the panoramic view of the Pasak River plains. Khao Phra Phutthabat Noi features rugged limestone peaks and intricate mountainous terrain. This unique geography supports a variety of wildlife, including the rare insect-eating bird, the Long-tailed Shrike, and the Himalayan tahr, locally known as "Phra In's Horse," which inhabits the Three Hills Cave. The temple grounds also house a revered relic: a miniature Buddha footprint, measuring about 1.5 by 3 feet. It is believed to be an ancient sacred imprint, left by the Buddha himself using mental concentration to soften the stone. Devotees can make offerings to this sacred footprint, which is said to bestow blessings and good fortune, potentially leading to celestial rebirth. The area around the footprint is always moist, adding to its spiritual significance.
