Suan Kwan Muang Park

Stroll in the pleasant shade of Suan Khwan Mueang Park, Bako Yai, a large public park in Yala City, with an area of 207 rai. This beautiful park was established during the tenure of General Prem Tinsulanonda as Prime Minister. The opening ceremony took place on July 21, 1986. The area was originally an unused swamp area that was later transformed into a sports park and a recreational area for the people of Yala. It features a large pond of more than 69 rai, decorated to resemble a seaside atmosphere with a sandy beach and pine trees. Because Yala is a landlocked province, this idea was implemented to allow the people to experience a seaside atmosphere. The park also hosts Javanese dove cooing competitions and is a great spot for cycling, especially in the evening.
