“Lamphun: A Journey Through Time – 3 Days, 2 Nights”
Begin your journey by train from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal to Lamphun Railway Station, arriving in one of Thailand’s oldest cities.
Day 1, after checking in, take a light stroll through the town and visit the Queen Chamadevi Monument, a key landmark honoring Lamphun’s founding queen. Relax in the surrounding park and enjoy the peaceful local atmosphere.
Start day 2 with a visit to Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, a sacred temple and a symbol of Lamphun. Marvel at the golden chedi and intricate Lanna architecture. Continue to Wat Chamadevi (Wat Kukut), home to an ancient Mon-style stupa believed to house the ashes of Queen Chamadevi herself. Take your time exploring the serene grounds and learning about the city’s rich heritage.
On the last day, before your return, visit Wat Phra Yuen, another historic temple with four ancient standing Buddha images over 1,000 years old. It's a quiet spot to reflect on your journey. Then head back to Lamphun Station and board your train back to Bangkok.
